What is 80s buick skylark?

Buick Skylark was a mid-size car produced by Buick from 1953 to 1998. The 1980s Buick Skylark was part of the third generation of the model and was produced from 1980 to 1985.

In 1980, the Skylark had a full model change and now shared the same platform and body as the Chevrolet Citation. Under the hood, the car was equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 2.8-liter V6 engine. The transmissions offered were a four-speed manual or a three-speed automatic transmission.

The 80s Skylark was available in two body styles: a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan. The car featured a sleek design with a low hood and a wide grille. The interior was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with power windows, power locks, and air conditioning.

In 1981, the Skylark received a minor facelift with a new grille and updated interior. Additionally, the 4.3-liter V6 engine option was added.

In 1982, the Skylark was redesigned with new front and rear fascias, new taillights, and a revised interior. The base engine was still the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the V6 engine was increased to 3.0 liters.

In 1983, the Skylark received a new grille and a standard tilt steering wheel. The V6 engine also received an electronic spark control system, which improved fuel efficiency.

In 1984, Buick introduced the Grand National performance version of the Skylark. It was fitted with a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine that produced 200 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.

In its final year of production, the 1985 Skylark received minor updates to the exterior and interior. It was replaced by the Buick Somerset Regal in 1986.
